The Royal School of Mines Golf Club was founded in 2004 and is a welcome change from the other clubs. We have a healthy social side and a passion for our sport. Better still, the club accomodates every standard of player - whether you've never played before or whether you're a professional.
We meet every Wednesday for a round of golf at some of London's finest courses, or for practise on the driving range. Our 'home' course is Ruislip Golf Club. Golf aside, we also have a number of social events throughout the year, including the Freshers Initiation and the infamous Pub Golf, which takes place across South Kensington and Fulham twice a year.
The highlight of our year is undoubtedly the Bottle Match, which takes place in February when we compete against Camborne School of Mines at University of Exeter. The competition is always fierce but makes for a highly enjoyable sporting and social weekend, alternately in Cornwall and in London.
Getting involved in a sports club is one of the best ways to meet new people and enjoy yourself at university. You'll find us at the Freshers Fayre so come along, ask us any questions, and we hope you'll sign up! Alternatively if you can't wait, send us an email (oliver.porter@imperial.ac.uk).
